The mission of OGSB is to mobilize society to ensure universal access to timely and affordable obstetrical and gynecological care including preventative and curative service together with fostering environments and societies that promote women and children health and wellbeing.
Our Values
Our approach will be supported by concepts that are consistent with long-standing principles of obstetrical and gynecological health and sustainable development:
Our work, programmes and organizational practices promote improvement to antenatal, emergency obstetric, postnatal, and neonatal care services.
We will collaborate across sectors with our members, partners, and development community to create coalitions, and partnerships that are mutually beneficial.
We pledge to collaborate with individuals from diverse origins, identities, and worldviews in an environment that values mutual learning, enrichment, and respect. We think that doing this will lead to better decisions and more significant answers to the complicated issues presented by a changing world.
In addition to being financially responsible and well-run, we’ll also be open and responsible to our members and donors. We’ll protect civil society’s morality, ethics, and rights.
We will maintain our independence as a society, and will openly address any real or perceived conflicts of interest (COI).
OGSB’s proper education and advocacy in national and international health are focused on improving outcomes and eliminating inequalities.
In case of a mother or patients, OGSB health care professionals have always prioritized mental health through the life cycle.
